For me with a schedule filled to the brim, Twitter offers "one stop shopping" of the best in the field of literacy, libraries, books, reading and new technologies each week.  I just want to share the newest with you. 


Let's start with a tweet from the people at Publishers Weekly. 

The developers of the highly anticipated Pottermore web site have been updating their blog.  This is the latest.


Bloggers at School Library Journal have been busy, busy, busy.

At A Fuse #8 Production, Video Sunday:  Giant monster and tiny ladies covers Banned Books Week, new book trailers and dancing through fashion just for fun.

Here is an interesting look at Mapping Censorship created for Banned Books Week.  Click on the pin to see what was censored and where. 

Straight from The Children's Bookshelf at Publishers Weekly is a link that Bad Kitty fans are going to love, A Bad Kitty Christmas.


Larry Ferlazzo of Larry Ferlazzo's Websites of the Day has oodles of good links to peruse this week.

Infographic:  Storytelling Vs. Corporate Speak says a lot with a little and is so very true.

Ferlazzo has updated his list, The Best Sites For Learning About The Statue of Liberty.   This is a great resource for the 125th anniversary.

The Calgary Herald posted an article, The 12 coolest libraries in the world, which is a visual display of awesome architecture.

Via Primary Technology Blog, New Feature: Online Pictogram/Pictograph Creator, is so simple but just the ticket.

Richard Byrne of Free Technology For Teachers offers 7 Good Screen Capture Tools for Teachers.  I am always capturing screens for use in some sort of publication or lesson.  He lists some of the best of the best.

The Pigeon tweeted some fantastic links to the latest visits between Mo Willems and family with the Eric Carle family, Dinner with the Carles, a Visit to the Eric Carle studio and check out what is arriving at the Eric Carle Museum soon.  The results of artists' collaboration is golden for we viewers.

Last but hardly the least is a link tweeted by The Hub YALSA.  Author James Patterson offers in an article, How to get your kid to be a fanatic reader, his views and suggestions.
