Amy Krouse Rosenthal A Tribute

On March 3, 2017 one of the most remarkable, poignant pieces I have ever read was written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal in The New York Times.  In this essay titled You May Want to Marry My Husband we learned of Amy's diagnosis of ovarian cancer and her very limited time left on this planet.  From that day forward I have not been able to stop thinking about her or the article.  It, like all the books she wrote, is filled with unconditional love.  Today, March 13, 2017, we learned that Amy Krouse Rosenthal, at the very young age of 51, left this world.

Three days ago the publishing house Chronicle Books wrote on their blog about wishing Amy or others more.  There is a card you can print out to give away.  There is never not enough time to wish someone more.

Amy recently released a book in August 2016 titled Textbook.  There is an official website for this book with the subtitle, not exactly a memoir.  It is said to be totally Amy, full of life.

Have you seen this TED talk by Amy?  Take some time to listen and watch.  This woman embraced the belief in all of us being connected.




Whenever you read Amy's children's books, you want to hug them.  Everything she has to say in her stories is delightful, truthful lessons on life.  You feel like her books such as Friendshape, I Wish You More, Exclamation Mark, Wumbers, This Plus That: Life's Little Equations, and Plant A Kiss are gifts straight from her heart.
