Oh, my goodness Linda! Thank you for sharing your personal story. I have a great respect for these storms and have one too many scares in my lifetime. Even with the warming systems they can appear more quickly than we can imagine.Xena's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10148266875207885836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5503880548764480867.post-27283245978653639712016-05-11T15:47:11.833-04:002016-05-11T15:47:11.833-04:00I thought the choice of narrator was so interestin...I thought the choice of narrator was so interesting and I appreciated how he talked about that at the end of the book.Michele Knotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05087579707297009719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5503880548764480867.post-3418407819471593042016-05-11T15:32:06.722-04:002016-05-11T15:32:06.722-04:00I enjoyed this one too, Margie!I enjoyed this one too, Margie!Maria Gianferrarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04702731735297812779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5503880548764480867.post-91289598976827091582016-05-11T14:53:48.398-04:002016-05-11T14:53:48.398-04:00Wow, this story sounds terrific, Margie. It was a storm that is said to have begun early warning systems, and as you wrote, the importance of basements. We were the only ones nearby with one, so had more than our family sheltered. We watched the funnel come toward us but it veered because of a big "dip" in the road south of us. We were so lucky. That day the storm did a lot of damage to my school, so that was the end of the year for us that year. I suspect this book will call up other's memories. Just this week's terrible storms come to mind. Thanks for sharing about the book!Linda Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983144542632353870noreply@blogger.com
